Entry #3: Tuesday, July 14, 2026

Still working on this site from time to time. At least I think about working on it. That's something, right? Anyway, the latest additions to the site have been mostly behind the scenes, like making it w3c compliant on both CSS and HTML 4.0. It ain't much, but it's honest work.

But that doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything in real life! One of the highlights of this past month is that I finally built my MLA-30+ shortwave antenna for my SDR! It's mostly a temporary setup, using zipties and the like, but it does the job very well. The build can be improved by making the loop more round or adding a support that isn't a backpack full of stuff so it doesn't tip over (lol), but I will do it in the future when I feel like it.

The performance of the antenna is pretty good if I place it outside, it actually picks up more signals than I thought. Being in Spain and facing east, I managed to pick up Radio Marti from the US, BBC and Vatican Radio from their relay in Madagascar, and even the time signal RWM and the Buzzer! The strong point of the loop appears to be from 9 to 20Mhz, where I get strong signals during the day and night. I haven't had the same success with lower frequencies, though, but the results were nice nonetheless.

As for the actual webpage, I have a concept of what each section will contain: Radio stuff will mostly contain QSL cards I obtain using my local equipment (using internet SDRs feels like cheating at this point). The trains section will have various sections, but it will certainly have information about old signalling systems in Spain. It's a topic that I love and fascinates me, and I happen to have a small but solid collection of pictures of old signalling systems in Spain, and basic knowledge of each one. There isn't a lot of info about them online either, so that will be my contribution to the web. The links section will have cool links that I find interesting (duh), as well as time capsules I find while navigating through the internet (sites that haven't been updated in decades, for example). The "other projects" section will have miscelaneous things for now, basically anything that doesn't fit in any other categories.

More importantly though, I should work on the actual design of the website. It looks too basic and I can't seem to get the colors right, but I will work on it with time.

Entry #2: Wednesday, June 10, 2026

I've been working on and off on the site for the past weeks. I'm the kind of person that burns out very easily, especially because I pour my full time into a project for a few days only to abandon it mid-way. Unlike any of my other projects however, this webpage will be always under construction until the day I'm gone. After all, a person is always under construction, and we change with time, so the page will always be changing accordingly.

So, what's new, you might ask? Well, I have brand new 88x31 buttons! I personally built them from scratch using GIMP (and spending more time than I'd like to admit), but I am happy with the final result. The running train that appears is a Feve Class 3300 EMU, with its original color scheme. At the same time, the Class 3300 is a rebuilding of some of the old Class 3500 EMUs which date back to the 1980s. Some of the original units are still running to this day, and working with them is very enjoyable! You can read more about these units here(text is in Spanish, please use your favorite translator).

There are two versions of the buttons: an animated one and a static one. Feel free to use both of them! But please, as per Neocities' policies, do not hotlink the buttons! Thanks :)

Entry #1: Friday, May 22, 2026

Finally found some motivation for working on this page. Hopefully it will last for a bit so I can make it look good! I'm still not sure what I will use this page for, but that's something I'll figure out eventually. The plan is to make different pages for each of the sections that are currently on this page. I also want to make the page in various languages and who knows, maybe in the future it will be my landing page!

Quick changelog: Expanded "About me" section, added basic CSS and styling.
